Publishing is a small, home-spun music publishing company
owned by singer-songwriter Désirée Goyette. The
company began in 1994 after requests by fellow musicians,
friends, and churches that Désirée's music be made
more readily available.
Although
she enjoys a career in the commercial music and entertainment
industry as well, Désirée finds writing Inspirational
music to be especially rewarding, " I love the spontaneity
that takes over when I open my heart and mind to a new way
of presenting an uplifting message," says Désirée.
"The letters I receive from those who have been comforted
or inspired by the music make the whole process incredibly
worthwhile. There's healing in it for me, too; that's truly
why I write: to think through life's challenges and work out
ways to grow, to move forward. To me, nothing more accurately
conveys a spiritual message than music. Each song is like
a prayer and I know I benefit every bit as much by writing
them as I hope my supporters do by listening to or performing
them."
