What a landmark year it has been and how very honored we are that THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE PUBLISHING SOCIETY has chosen to feature two of our compositions in the new CHRISTIAN SCIENCE HYMNAL SUPPLEMENT!

I AM THE LORD, a solo written twenty years ago has now been rearranged for the HYMNAL SUPPLEMENT with two new verses! Also included is our setting of Mary Baker Eddy’s COMMUNION HYMN in a format especially conducive to congregational singing.

In addition to the two titles mentioned above, we had the pleasure of providing the HYMNAL SUPPLEMENT with a brand-new arrangement of the joyful traditional African Hymn titled SIYAHAMBA complete with expanded lyrics and original music material. This new arrangement will soon be available for purchase through our website.

Other activities include Desiree’s continuing role as Musical Director for UNITY IN MARIN, a heart-centered spiritual community located in Novato, CA. There she and her husband Ed Bogas enjoy creating music tailor-made to support the various sermons and events.

Desiree’s Easter Oratorio, IF I BE LIFTED UP is being transformed to a beautiful new layout in the hands of a wonderful engraver Richard Cerchia of Florida. Soon this beloved Easter perennial will find its way to inspirational choirs all over the world!

LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED a Good Friday Experience enjoyed a double presentation at opposite ends of the San Francisco Bay for the second year in a row. This dramatized theatre piece, adapted from the exquisite work of Kahlil Gibran titled JESUS, THE SON OF MAN continues to encourage a deeper contemplation of the metaphysical significance of Jesus’ crucifixion.

New projects from LIGHTCHILD PUBLISHING include recordings of our more contemporary spiritual songs and a complete recording of IF I BE LIFTED UP an Easter Oratorio.
